AK-47 Receiver Blank

For my next project I decided to build an AK-47.  This would be a little different build than what I was used to with the AR's.  Up to this point I was able to complete all my receivers using CNC machinery.  But with the AK, I would be able to complete all from my house, since no complicated machines would be needed.  I found some AK build tutorials from the Gunco website.  I ordered a few blanks and I started my build.  I was surprised how quickly I was able to finish the project.  After one weekend of building, I was almost ready to test fire the new rifle.

Since those last pictures, I've powder coated the receiver and it looks much better.  This was the easiest project that I've ever done.  I highly recommend it to anybody wanting to get started into this hobby.
