AK-47 Receiver Blank

For my next project I decided to build an AK-47. This would be a little different build than what I was used to with the AR's. Up to this point I was able to complete all my receivers using CNC machinery. But the AK I would be able to complete all from my house, since no complicated machines would be needed. I got the idea of building an AK from looking through the tutorials on Ace Arms website. I got a few of the blanks from Ace Arms and I started my build. I was surprised how quickly I was able to finish the project. After one weekend of building, I was almost ready to test fire the new rifle. In this project I'll show pics of my build with limited descriptions. You can get the full details of building an AK-47 from the Ace Arms website, they do a wonderful job of describing the steps.

Since those last pictures, I've powder coated the receiver and it looks much better. This was the easiest project that I've ever done. I highly recommend it to anybody wanting to get started into this hobby. The people at Ace Arms were very helpful, they answered all the questions I had.
