jwh02017 , Do you have any plans to make a jig for the AR-10 lowers?
You can use the AR15 jig for the AR10.  I describe how to use the AR15 jig with the AR10 lowers in the FAQ section of this forum.

Thanks,
Justin

To who it may concern,

I would like very much to find an AR-10 receiver which is at or close to 80% completed. Any assistance that anyone might be able to offer in my quest would be appreciated. My email is jason.s.ashworth@us.army.mil

Thank you all,

Sincerely,

Sgt. Ashworth

Email sent.

Also, I'd contact Khalan. Mitch might have one or two sitting around partially completed, at or about 80%.

Yes, I'd like an M240 please...no no, the other one, the belt fed!  Oh, and while I'm here, let me also get a big gulp, a powerball quick-pick, and a pack of Marlboro's, Thanks.

I looked through the FAQ and did not find any information. I also looked through the other posts/topics in the same super set that the faq was in and didn't see anything. If I've missed it I appologize. Im in the UK on vacation right now and its 2:22am at the moment.

[FAQ copyage]
Quote
Q.  Will the AR15 jig work with AR10 lower receivers?
A.  Yes, for the most part the AR15 jig will work with AR10 lowers.  The two surfaces that touch the mag well will have to be milled down since the AR10 mag well is wider than that of the AR15.  You won't be able to drill the AR10 front take down pin hole with the AR15 jig since the AR10 is also longer than the AR15.  But you can still use the jig to secure the AR10 lower while you drill the front take down hole.

Q.  Will the AR15 jig work with AR45 lower receivers?
A.  Yes, but you will have to mill down the two surfaces on the jig that touch the mag well since the AR45 has a wider mag well than the AR15.  Other than that, the AR15 jig will work perfectly fine with the AR45.
[/FAQ copyage]

i believe the AR10 & Ar45 magwells are the same width, so you'd have to mill 0.100" off of the inside part of each blck in order to use the AR15 jig for either the '10 or '45.. (but justin could confirm this).

Stupid question as I've been away for a while (finally got my AR45 lower yesterday from group 1)...  Are these all spoken for?  I happened to notice Noveske's 7.62 uppers are Armalite pattern  ;)

I can ship 10%'ers to California.  As far as I know California hasn't banned paper weights :)

I expressed interest in this project/buy some time back, but got sidetracked making XM607 and DOE 633 clones...

Are these still being done? Will Khalen do any 80% machining on them?

Thank You!

the only machining i sent the ar10's for was the magwell and fire control pocket since they are the hardest/most time consuming thing to do.

i thought the turn around time would be short with khalan............

yeah sure. :(

um... rumor has it that there is a company called "Armalite" that might carry some of the parts in question....  :P

I was wondering if there were any Portuguese or Sudanese parts kits making the rounds...They're Metric, I know; but I like their shape better than the "new ArmaLite" parts, which are just AR-15 parts...except the receivers and barrel...   ::)
