I've had some guys wanting me to produce some 10% AR10 lowers. Mitch at Khalan.com said he could complete the 10% lowers for those who didn't have the equipment to finish it themselves. If I can get about 20 names on a list, then I'll look into doing a group buy for the AR10 10% lowers. A ball park price for the lowers will be $275. If you are interested, please email me at jwh02017@hotmail.comThanks, Justin The image below is a 100% AR10 lower... the 10% lower will of course have less machining done to it. >>>>> People Interested in a 10% AR10 Lower <<<<< Username QtyResq47 1 (not 100% sure, but interested) trwalsh 1 S A Moody 1 sysops666 1 TSUGAMIMAN 1 Greenbean 1 (possibly 2) goober 2 cornholio1 1 mike72184 1 (possibly 2) (Edit to update - 9-25-07)Ok guys, I think there might be enough interest now to make a short run of these. The AR10 10%'er will basically be the left and right side machined and then the buffer hole drilled and tapped. There won't be any other holes drilled. I will however center drill the spots on the left and right side of the receiver (see pics below). The price will be $250 + $10 shipping. This will be a very limited run. As most of you know I've been waiting a while for enough interest to be generated in these AR10 lowers, so once this batch sells out I probably won't make another batch for a while. I plan on starting this batch here in about 3 or 4 weeks. I'm thinking it'll probably take me about 3 weekends to complete them all. So a rough completion date will be sometime around the first couple weeks of November 2007.
I'm now accepting payments for the AR10 10%'ers. Please contact me before you send payment. My email is jwh02017@hotmail.com
I'd appreciate it if some of you guys could put the word out over on AR15.com that I'm making a batch of these. I can't advertise there since I'm not a paying industry partner... I would be if their fees weren't so much. It's hard for your one man operations to spend thousands of dollars on advertisements.
Thanks, Justin (Edit to update - 10-23-07)I had some changes in my plans and I was able to complete these 10% AR10 lowers sooner than planned. These AR10 lowers are just like the ones I made for my AR10 project. They are designed to work with the Armalite uppers. I know they will work with the modified M14 mags, but I believe you could cut the mag well so it uses FAL mags instead.
A while back I talked to Mitchell at Khalan.com and he said he would finish these AR10 lowers for guys.... similar to what he's doing with the 10% AR45 lowers.
The price is $250 + $10 shipping. I accept money orders or cashier's check. Please contact me before you send payment. My email is jwh02017@hotmail.com
These AR10 lowers won't last long, so get'em while they're hot!
Thanks, Justin

I'm interested but I don't know that funds would allow it for a while yet. What mag would these use?

Gotcha. I'll stay in the tentative column, after shooting on a military 800M pop-up range today I'm leaning towards a bolt gun for .308...

Yes, I'd like an M240 please...no no, the other one, the belt fed! Oh, and while I'm here, let me also get a big gulp, a powerball quick-pick, and a pack of Marlboro's, Thanks.

justin,
is there any way you would consider milling a DPMS 308 lower?
i don't know everything that is involved in re-tooling or re-milling, just an idea.
thanks happyhuntr

How is it different than the Armalite AR10?

*How is it different than the Armalite AR10?*
There was a pretty good picture of an Armalite upper on a DPMS lower somewhere on AR15.com awhile back.
The double radius on the rear of the Armalite upper is replaced by a single radius like the AR15 on the DPMS.
The Armalite upper fits onto the DPMS lower, but there is a gap between the upper and lower at the diagonal between the two curves at the rear of the upper.
It doesn't look like a DPMS upper would fit on an Armalite lower.
I'm not sure exactly what the DMPS radius dimension is.
If thats about a clear as mud, I'll look for the picture and link it.

What are the chances of getting them at 80% ? My concern is cutting the mag well. I'm in for possibly 2 if they are more than 10%. The guys at the club were impressed with my AR15 builds and may also want a few, but not at 10% as I'm the only machine operator in the group. Thanks

I will probably stick with 10%, since I don't want to be in any gray area with the ATF. Justin
