Whats the availability like for BAR mags?

I currently have a design for .308 receiver.  Originally it was designed to mate with an Armalite upper, but now I've changed the design for use with a DPMS upper.  Right now, I'm striving to get a design down to work with G3 mags since I pick them up for about $3 a piece.  I'm personally not fond of the .30-06, so if I were to go bigger, I'd much rather learn towards a magnum... say the .300 win mag. 

Did you ever get this to work? I would like one if you do. I could trade you one of our new billet 308 lower we are putting into production this week.

When I heard about the AR10-06, I just had to join the forum.
I am more than interested in any project that will give me an AR platform that can be chambered for 416 Ruger or 416 Taylor.
It would be a very impressive dangerous game rifle.

I am another person interested / looking for a AR style weapon in 30-06. I have spoken with Bushmaster and they tell me they have no plans for a MCR 300 (30-06) until perhaps some time in 2011.

I just bought 12 BAR mags from numrich, 6 were blued and 6 were park. All are new. $24.95 each and I'll will buy more if I can find them cheaper or buy them from numrich.

      That means I'm interested in a AR platform in 30-06 with BAR mags. I believe that someone or some company is going to offer one if not sooner, Then later.

I couldn't wait any longer for a AR30-06 so I made the sacrifice and spent the money on a 1918A3 BAR,  I called Ohio Ordinance Works and got on there waiting list (9-12 months) to purchase one of their semi auto BAR's and at the same time I started looking on the gun auctions and I found one on gunbroker. I bid on it and I won!!! GB # 154243968

Anyone think of using a MGI lower with a custom longer magwell for the 30-06? It will require a new upper but there are plenty of guys making their own uppers from billet so this shouldn't be too monumental of a task. A spacer can also be used to lengthen the back of an AR10 bolt carrier (at least for testing) so a new carrier may not be needed. Will need a longer charging handle as well.

The Bushmaster MCR 300 uses a standard AR butt stock and tube but I'm not sure what the buffer looks like.

        I had my BAR for 3 months and I love it! This thing is accurate to the nuts. I would like to mount a scope on it using a spare rear sight base and a receiver top cover plate together some how. Should be fairly simple since both parts are dove tailed into the receiver.

      While this rifle was in service two men were assigned to the BAR, One to carry the rifle and one to carry the ammo because the dang thing weighs 20 pounds!

     When I'd go for walks behind my house I always would take my M4 just in case I see a coyote. Now I take my BAR, If not for the coyotes but for the work out.

I recently bought a bunch of AP M2 GI ammo... A 3006 ar10 would be AWESOME. I have been planning on accurizing and hot rodding a browning bar safari, but this is more up my alley!
