Hi Gents...I just registered and unfamiliar with process of posting, so if this post if better suited elsewhere, please let me know.
My questions :
1. I've modified an 8mm 24/47 Mauser to a wannabe long distance shooter. I realize my most affective range is in the 400-600 yd range. I'm looking for a flash suppressor to install on the muzzle after threading the muzzle. The O.D. of the muzzle is 0.611...Can anyone tell me where I might find a flash suppressor and tapping tools to handle this project ?
2. I have a Remington 30-06 barrel that does not have enough diameter to recut the threads for a large ring Mauser...Anyone know what the OD is on a small ring Mauser ? and is there any chance of having the Rem barrel rechambered to a caliber that won't exceed maximum pressure for a small ring Mauser receiver ?
