sti project continues

So after letting it sit for a while i decided not to be such a lazy ass and try to finish this project.
The plunger hole had to be finished off before fitting.
 
Then fitting the slide.
 
Fitting the grip
 

Theres a LOT more fitting to go. Then blasting. Then coating. With a lot of testing
In between.

touchracing:
That frame is looking sexy.  Is it me or is there an alignment problem with the STI frame and the SVI grip?  I need to make time for my 2011 build.  I'm going for a 6" slab side.

I have both an svi and sti grip. They both have problems in their own special way. But as with all 1911 related projects its all about fitting. Im still having a binding problem with the trigger and the frame.

Ive ordered a storm lake barrel, and i hope the fit is good cause its melonited.
