Hey i have a few questions on the STI frame downloadable here

what model STI was it designed for and what length?
also are the STI frame compatible with standard Colt type slides and barrels?
also does anyone offer complete parts kit for STI type guns excluded frame?

can anyone tell me  the distance between the "takedown" pin center and the front end of the barrel on a 6 inch barrel?

Lets see if i can answer these.

1. In terms of rail its a picatinny Justin added on to a regular plain jane sti receiver. As to what kind sti uses the rail is different. And it needs a little tweaking to work.
2. I messed with it a bit and yes they fit
3. In a word no. But the differences in parts are minimal. A 1911 parts kit will cover everything except.....
- mag catch
- mainspring housing pin
- ejector roll pin
- a double stack grip
- trigger
- bushing set (it comes in a set with the trigger screws and bushing)
And thats it i think. Oh! Buy the slide before you change the model. Justins model is a little on the long side so you can grind the sucker down to match the slide.
