durability of 3d printing

does anyone here have any experience with Titanium and Stainless steel 3d printing? im thinking about the durability wheter in example a 3d printed stainless or titanium receiver or frame would be durable enough for use

I dont think so, especially as it comes right out of the printer. Maybe after heat treating.

I think it would be a a good idea to leave critical dimensions (ie slide rails of a frame) large so that you can machine them.

I have an FDM 1650 and a friend of mine and I built a Ruger 10 22 receiver on it for fitment ect. Here is a link to it on Rimfire central

very cool project , ive had some airsoftparts 3d printed in ABS but really want to know wheter you could print iex a 1911 frame in titanium or stainless that would hold for real use ...

do your printer have the ability to print in stainless and titanium? i live in sweden where the first ever metal 3d printer was made .. by Arcam and i know a company that has one and and can have parts made at an ok price but alltho they claim that their printed stainless is allmost like "normal" stainless unless the elasticity im hesitant to beleiving them
