Here is my Thompson Machine lower assembled. I will post a picture of it with my upper when the form 1 gets back. It went together without any major problems and I am happy with the finished product. The GG mags that I had "squared up" to work with the Kaham lower were a little loose. I will have to tinker with them some. There were a couple scratches from being shipped with the mag catch and spring without much seperating them but this is not going to be a safe queen. Joe

Yep. Very nice. I can't wait to get my lower up and running. I have an appointment with local sherrifs office for the sign off for a form 1. So I am guessing sometime in April...maybe...someday....

TC, I realize this was posted going on 2 years ago. I just read through 15 pages trying to find info on the baseplates you sell. I didn't find anything. Long story short I was going to order some GG mags and considered ordering extras and selling some shortened versions. Of course this will require some basplates. I'm willing to make those but I don't want to step on anyone's toes if they are already available from another forum member. If someone is already making baseplates I might consider making those instead. Thanks.

Just wanted to post a couple pics of my AR45. It is a Thompson completed lower. I got it to the range today for the first time. I have had the Olympic upper for several years and as usual, it ran perfectly. I had no issues with the lower except that the trigger I installed sucks. I will have to do something about that. I have not shot this upper in several months. I sold all my modified Uzi mags a while back so it has just been sitting. Doug Melton at SRT did the integral suppressor for the upper about four years ago. It has exceeded my expectations in sound suppression. Today at the range some guy walked over to ask me if I was shooting a 22LR conversion. He was plenty shocked when I finally convinced him it was a 45acp. I have been trying to get one of these type lowers for a long time. It would have been up and running over a year ago if not for the Khalan fiasco. In any case, I would like to thank Tango Chaser, Justin, and Thompson Machine for a great product. Hopefully my grand kids will be fighting over it someday. Joe

Looooong overdue.... But better late than never here's a couple of AR45s i built/assembled: both are based on the CNC Guns AR45 lower in .45ACP, design by Tango Chaser & Justin, and use the Oly pistol cal blowback system w/ RRA flat-top pistol cal uppers & the Oly ejector system. they take M3 Grease Gun mags. both have B-16 "Bullet Buttons" installed, as i am in Kali & this is the only design for the AR platform that works for the lever-style mag release. sorry for the crappy pix. pistol:10% lower finished by me ACE buffer tube PRI BUIS Burris Fastfire in La Rue IronDot mount 10.5" custom KKF barrel w/ KKF 45FS 10" La Rue FF tube 10/30 GG mag Ergo grip & 5-Phase W-Trigger Guard carbine:lower finished by Thompson Machine VLTOR EMOD Centurion HK sights 16" Oly barrel w/ KKF 45FS 13.2" La Rue FF tube 10 rd GG mag shortened using G3MBPErgo grip & 5-Phase W-Trigger Guard

Finally changed the handguard on my AR45 to a midlength configuration. This is how I envisioned it since I built it. I hate the carbine length handguard with a 16" barrel. The Rifle length handguard was just too long. I finally drilled and tapped the gas block pin holes for 6-32 set screws so I could move it forward. With the 9" handguard the rear of the gas block still registers on the forward 0.75" gasblock seating area. The barrel step down is so small that it still fits well. I really like the new MI T series handguard.

Looks really good. I have carbine handguards on my rifle (pics 3 posts up) and I have never been happy with how they look. They work fine but I would still like to get rid of them. Maybe your picture will motivate me do something about it. Joe

Thanks. I think the midlength would look really nice with the suppressor. (I'm jealous )

I like the midlength handguards with a 16" barrel too. I recently reworked my AR45 setup: It started like this: And ended up like this: The stupid Olyarms FSB was stuck hard, I ended up using a cutoff wheel to remove it. I'm still trying to collect enough pennies to put an SRT integral can on this beast. This is by far the most "fun" to shoot gun I own.
