AR-10 barrel extension drawing/solid or just dimensinos
« on: April 11, 2009, 08:57:11 PM »
Does anyone have a drawing for the ar-10 barrel extension?  or a solid or even just the outer dimensions of the extension?

I've got a project I have been thinking about and that information is critical to figuring it out..

thanks

I've got a solid model of it as well as a drawing. Anyone that wants it, drop me an e-mail at egrimes@parker.com
Here's the drawing:

Thanks for that print!!!

Is there a chamfer on the leading end? What about feed ramps?

Where did this drawing come from?

Thanks,
Jon

Yes, it should have a small, about .02" chamfer. I did not include the feed ramps in the model as I was developing this from a .308 to use for a .300 WSM.
This is a DPMS design that I checked on my CMM and reverse engineered into Pro/e.
I did this because the lead time from DPMS was quoted at three months. I ended up getting it about the same time I got the piece of S7 to machine one though. I ended up making a couple for future use anyway.
Might fool around and build a .45 acp barrel/bolt in the near future if I can work out a good mag well converter.
