Sig 228 Help
« on: August 07, 2013, 10:57:37 AM »
I am new, and trying to finds all the parts to put together a 228. I found a Sig Sauer P229 9mm Elite Legacy slide kit but am not sure if it will fit my 228 frame build. Any thoughts or advice on this one?

yea, I'm like all new here my own self. To answer your question, Dlask still has some 228 kits - https://www.dlaskarms.com//product_info.php?products_id=402&osCsid=194652dbe7f5010a6c8573e4b7807533.

Hope this helps.

They still do but they wont ship the Slides or Barrel to the US without a FFL Importer.

Oh, Well so much for that then... Didn't catch that part. And here i was thinking about one too. Looking more and more like a 2 piece 1911 is going to be the way to go.

Caliber Xchange kits from Sig have slide & barrel, so that + DLask kit is everything you need. Sig 228/229 builds are still very doable if you have a frame. I've got a GB in progress over on CalGuns for a new batch of KTO 80% Sig P22x paperweights (its closed but Rick plans to go back into production after this run if demand is sparked).
