Is anybody doing anything with the s&w 500 round?

seems like it would be a nice rimmed rifle round
something like a henry lever action with balls
big brass copper jacketed balls

S&W 500 was to small so I went with 50 Alaskan  ;D

The wildcat cartrige 348 never thought about using something that old for a 50 cal.  I bet that round packs a punch.

nonetheless do share the Henry build with us when you get to it.

(as an aside, seeing this thread resurrected gave me a chuckle when i remembered some of the "spirited debates" between the OP (W33) and several members here on a variety of topics. turned out he was a teenager, he finally left in a huff  ::) )

I have been thinking about this for a bit and i have a 1971 .30-.30 winchester receiver complete that i'm considering what to do with.  500 s&w might just be it. does anyone know if the receiver will hold that much pressure?
