a lrho upper that may work for the AR45 from new frontier
« on: December 09, 2016, 08:53:03 PM »
Hello  :)

Found this:
http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/Spartan_9MM_45ACP_Billet_AR15_Upper_Receiver_w_LR_p/jb-9-lrbho.htm

Its from new frontier.
the lrho is built into the upper to hold the bolt back on glock and Colt 9mm and 45acp. Therefore, I am asking those who build if this could be made to work with the AR45 lower and the mags we use? Seems that some clever person should be able to make it work!

Comes in side charging too ;) ;D 8)

And now a pretty fun ar45 pic that you may not have seen (but probably have):

incase the pic did not upload, here is the link, just scroll down:

*can't upload image for some reason, probably my end... no worries.

No...the issue with grease gun magazines is the lack of movement by the follower after the last round is fed......you need about 1/8 of an inch minimum of travel to actuate the bolt catch....it will require a redesign of the mag follower....and a way to mass produce them. I worked out a simple mechanism quite some time ago...just not enough of the afore mentioned follower movement to make it reliable.

thats too bad.

One other thing I found was a last round hold open follower for AK47s. In theory would something like this hold a possible solution? It could easily be 3D printed!.. if someone would provide the specs.

I still feel like the AR45 is a great thing. And given all the love out there for SBRs and pistol cal PDWs, that this entire thing remains worth keeping on.

I have looked at B&T, HK, A whole host of AR mods, and the AR45 here is just the best idea- especially when you think about the money.

Only trying to promote a more perfect AR45 here. no worries.
