460 Rowland upper.
« on: July 12, 2016, 05:41:48 PM »
Is anyone successfully using a 460 Rowland DI upper on a CNC AR45 lower, and if so, who's? RMW extreme says his upper won't work, I assume his have to be used with his lower or a Bazooka Brothers lower. What about Mad Machinist? Any other 460 DI upper makers? Thank for any help. :)

I can build a 460 upper....BUT it won't run 45......just like a 45 upper won't run 460...different length chambers.....around .062 difference....a 45 won't headspace in a 460 chamber and a 460 won't allow the bolt to close. Both are loaded to the same overall length.....so they will feed from the same magazine....and due to the much higher pressure of the 460 the gas port will have to be in a different location.

Thanks. I understand the two rounds aren't interchangeable. I'll attempt to get ahold of you for an order.

I had RMW make me a 460 Rowland barrel and built a upper.
Worked fine on a cnc lower
